Jo grins, leaning his elbow on the counter, taking another good look at Nicholas. “That’s where you’re wrong, Nicho-kun,” that honorific again, said in that annoyingly sultry voice that sounds like the crackle of a fireplace—deep, hot, “I’ve always been interested.”

Instead, Taki stepped closer, a whisper of warmth against the chill. His hand brushed Harua’s wrist—tentative, electric.
“Tomorrow,” Taki said, voice low, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Harua let out a breath he didn’t know he’d been holding. “Yeah,” he said, voice catching somewhere between hope and doubt. “I’ll see you.”

Summary
At university, Euijoo had taken an elective on post-war Japanese architecture almost by chance and entirely because it fit nicely into his schedule. It had been really interesting and challenging and he had retained almost none of it at the time, except for this: the idea that a house, or any other thing, could be entirely pulled apart and divided into its individual parts and be effectively unmade, only to be put back together somewhere else. Was the relocated house the same as the original? Or was it something new?
Nicholas breaks up with Euijoo after almost six years together. Euijoo had tried to make himself into a home, built around and for Nicholas, but now, only the broken pieces of their life together remain, scattered on the ground. And amidst the ruins, there's Fuma.
