Summary
Jisung ate his breakfast methodically, the cereal soft and mulchy in his bowl. Minho was nose deep in a book, his burnt toast ignored. The people around them talked about the weather, the ferry delays, the terrible food.
Did Minho even want to sleep with him anymore?
“Do you think our room is haunted?” Jisung asked.

Summary
“I don’t know what to do,” Yeonjun sighs, flopping down on a park bench. They’ve asked everyone they passed if they recognize the dog, and all of them said no. Yeonjun almost feels guilty for enjoying himself when Paldo is lost and probably scared. She must be missing her actual owners, and here Yeonjun is, basking in Soobin’s glow.
Is it wrong to develop a crush on a man he’s just met? Probably not. They’re practically on a date. Some sort of date, at least. Hanging out alone for hours, getting to know each other. Yeonjun swears he’s not imagining it. He sees Soobin look down at his lips every once in a while. Sees Soobin avert his eyes whenever Yeonjun catches him staring. Flustered.

Summary
Blood thrums underneath Minho’s skin. Fresh. Sweet. Burning hot. Jisung can smell it, hear it. His jaw aches. He wants—craves—the taste of life on his tongue.
Minho tilts his chin up. Bares his neck, presenting himself. Two parallel veins run down the pale skin, one on each side of his throat.
Jisung swallows. Saliva floods his mouth. He swallows again, bares his teeth, holds his breath. He’s perfectly still, perfectly good.
“Go on,“ Minho murmurs. “Have some.”

Summary
Birds chirp in the trees, but no footsteps creak over wood floors in the house. It’s all wrong. Jeonghan is still full from last night. He’ll stay full for a day or two more. A parting gift from Seungcheol to tide him over.
Once upon a time, Jeonghan would have said that his love language is total sacrifice. A facetious joke, fingers running through Seungcheol’s hair as he lounged on his lap, talking to a group of their friends. Seungcheol would do anything for him, everyone always said that. Jeonghan would smile, and Seungcheol would bloom like a sunflower into his direction.
“Total sacrifice,” Jeonghan would say, and Seungkwan would roll his eyes. Reply, “Yeah, right. You act like you’d be able to live without him.” Everyone would laugh.

Summary
By then it had been a decade since children started disappearing from the outskirts of town. Jisung had been plucking them off the shore, because they were an easy target. But take enough and the market grows dry. No one allows their children by the water at night any longer. There are signs of warning plastered along the descent to the sea.
And he was hungry, so Minho couldn’t fault him for taking just a bit. If he were Jisung, he’d have taken it all. Devoured every bit of flesh that had fallen into his waters, and gorged.
Jisung is smarter than him, though he’s not nearly human. He knew he needed help, and he could probably see the vacancy in Minho’s eyes, begging for a purpose. A reason.
