Summary
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” the racer growls, pressing his gun hard against IV's temple. “Let go of him this instant or I’m blowing a hole in that pretty head of yours.”
IV’s eyes are wide as dinner plates and, while he doesn’t move to release the drummer, he glances at II in utter fear.
II snaps his hand upward and grabs the barrel of the gun, growling low in his throat at the other racer. They lock eyes for a moment but the racer doesn’t back down.
“Chill. The. Fuck. Out,” II orders, his voice deep and dangerous.
Or,
II's past comes back to haunt him, dragging Vessel's forgotten troubles right along with it. IV gets pulled further into the problems he tries to ignore, and III isn't sure if he should be worried about the fact that his arm is slowly turning black, or how much he likes this new side of II.

Summary
I'm not the savior you long for, but at least we're not alone.
(II appears to be normal but has received a warning of expulsion due to possessing a weapon on campus as a result of self-harm. Vessel is suffering from severe depression due to wounds from a past relationship. Despite his clear academic passion, he is struggling with leading a normal life. Their last chance to avoid expulsion is for the two of them to become each other's mentor-mentee. In summary, this story is about mutual salvation, soulmates, the author’s past (and perhaps ongoing) pain transformation, inner depictions of depression and self-harm, and overcoming wounds.)
