Soulmates were a big thing, everyone knew it was a big thing. It was a huge thing for everyone, especially the McClain's. All they would talk about is the one color they would see, the one color that took up their life. It was something that was driven into the McClain's life, something that Lance so desperately wanted to relate to. But he couldn't. He couldn't bond with them over the color of his soulmate's eyes. He didn't see blue hues of the sky, or the brown of the dirt and trees. He hated it. He was sure he didn't have a soulmate. How could he when everything he saw was grey? He hated it. He hated the color grey. And he hated soulmates.
Soulmates were a big thing. Keith knew this, he knew it because it was said to him every moment of every day. It seemed to be the main topic in his life, much to his distain. If he had to hear one more person ask what color he saw and then go gushing about how 'Lucky' he was to be able to see the sky, he'd throw up. Keith knew he had a soulmate, but he couldn't find it in him to like the color of their eyes. He hated it. He'd rather see everything in grey than have to see the color blue again. He hated the color blue. But gods, did he love soulmates.
