It hits him suddenly, the awareness that MacTavish can see every single expression on his face. It’s not the first time the man has seen him maskless, not by a long shot, but it’s the first time where it feels like he’s giving away too much.
Feels like the man must see it written clearly all over his face, the ache that he has tried so hard to hide. The sheer want that he can’t seem to shake, the longing that has only grown, and grown over the past four years.

Shepherd stays silent for a moment, long enough that Soap knows he's given too much away. It's alarming, how much he doesn't care about it. The voice on the phone comes eventually, slow and mocking, "We'll see about that."
Soap lets out an audible snarl, even as the line goes dead.

Khoa slices the chains holding the small body, and cradles the boy into his arms.
It feels like there's more blood on him than the color of skin, and the intensity of rage that fills his veins is so extreme that Khoa cannot remember how to breathe. So much pain carved onto a child- a child. If there is justice in this world, he cannot see it, and for that Khoa will tear it down.

Unwanted, unworthy. Like a brand on his skin.

Summary
Shouyou wonders what the people watching him go by would think if they knew. You see that one guy, Japan’s top scorer? I once played a game against him and won. You see the one making his Olympic debut before he’s even turned twenty? After matches, we would walk home together. He doesn’t like to hold hands but he likes to pull you close. We’d walk with our arms linked close and stars dotting the sky. It always smelled of cherry trees.
Kageyama must be on top of the world, right now. Shouyou isn’t there with him.
It feels bittersweet, in a way. He’s not there, but he will be. Just because he took a detour doesn’t mean he’s stopped running; he might be taking the long way home, but he’ll get there when the time is right. He made a promise, after all.
He sends Kageyama a text. I saw you today. You were amazing.
Then he races.
