Summary
Jim has two not-so-distinct struggles, and one very separate suspicion:
1. His feelings for his best friend (which seem to be mutual but remain undiscussed).
2. Constant distraction at work (not helped by said best friend).
3. A creeping sense that the leader of Xesi people, for whom the Enterprise has been sent to welcome into the Federation, might be up to something. Something not-so-fun.If only Jim knew what was going to happen on the planet.

Boba claims that he has been severed from his. Wherever he walks, he walks alone. People cower in existential fear at the very sight of him, daemonless and cold.
Din has never said a word about it.
