No, that wasn’t at all true, he just wanted a different “then” with Shouta, but he knew for a fact that Shouta wouldn’t want that with him. So Hizashi forced himself to never imagine beyond that, because it hurt more than knowing he was lying to his best friend by omission.

On a calm afternoon aboard the Revenge, Stede indulges Ed's newfound interest in fashion with another trip to the auxiliary wardrobe.
When the locking mechanism for the secret passage is accidentally compromised, the two of them are trapped inside, waiting on Stede's crew to find them. Of course, this could take anywhere from several hours to several days.
Luckily, Stede's brought tapas, and there's plenty of things one can do to while away the time inside a wardrobe.

Finding yourself back in the same situation fifteen years down the line could be cathartic - or traumatic. He's got students to rescue. And a husband to come right back to, into the nestled warmth of their home.
