"Yuu?!" Narita was being so loud and Nishinoya couldn't even sleep as Narita forced him back upright. "Did he just pass out again? Yuu!"
"Mm Kazuhito..." Nishinoya groaned, "...Did not faint. M' just cold... and tired. Let me sleep for a minute." That was the last they heard from him as he closed his eyes again, leaning against Narita whose stock-still form soon relaxed.
Nishinoya felt someone drape a jacket over his shoulders. "This idiot... You just love to scare us huh?" was the last thing Nishinoya heard before he drifted off for good.

Yuta set the Rubik’s cube aside and climbed down from his bed, the mattress creaking softly. He sat beside Megumi, their shoulders nearly touching. “You know you can talk to me, right?” Yuta said, his voice low and kind. “Even if it’s something silly or small.”
Megumi’s hands curled around his knees, and the silence stretched between them like a thin thread. He wanted to tell Yuta everything, the heavy feeling in his chest and how the days seemed harder lately, but the words stuck in his throat, thick and unspoken.
“I know,” he whispered back, his voice so quiet it almost vanished in the hush of the room.

13-year-old Fushiguro Megumi who loves to overthink, felt a heavy emptiness in his chest as he watched his friends make new friends and laugh together. Each moment of connection left him feeling more alone and scared they would leave him behind.
