“Ah, yes.” Ilya nods once. “Entire city exhausted. Mayor declared emergency.” He looks at him for one long beat. “You disappear for months and first thing you do is act jealous. Honestly kind of flattering.”
“You seemed pretty busy getting photographed with half the omegas between Back Bay and Toronto.”
“And you were secretly having my baby, so I feel maybe we both made surprising choices.”
Shane’s pretty sure the room doesn’t actually tilt sideways, but it feels like it.
