Summary
Zelda cursed the sun for forcing her to look at Link even when she wasn’t looking at him.
The princess of Hyrule can recount every minute detail of her appointed knight's dashing figure just by watching his shadow. She tries to convince herself that this is from a place of distaste and scorn, not otherwise.
We all know better.

Summary
Link’s life is fairly mundane: run errands, clean the horses’ stalls, and spy upon the training soldiers at the military camp with the hope of joining them someday. But recently, his dreams have been less about shining armour and more about dark green forests and little leaf creatures that tinkle like bells when they float away from him.
One day, the King sweeps into camp, bringing along the princess on her snowy white horse. He declares that one of them will become the next hero of Hyrule. Link has little interest in prophesies, but he needs to discover what waits for him in the Lost Woods.
Note: This could be interpreted as Link/Zelda but only if you're looking for it. They’re just a couple of 7th graders who’ve known each other for less than 24 hours, after all.

Summary
It has taken over one hundred years, but Calamity Ganon has been defeated. Link and Zelda are eager to discover their places in a very different world, to learn what it means to live freely without the burdens of prophecy and duty. They can watch Hyrule heal from a century of wounds at a cosy home in the midst of friends and the green, green hills — finally, a peaceful ending to all their trials.
Except... destiny has never been so lenient. Hyrule, raised on legends of wise princesses and courageous heroes, clamours for their return. It's a new conundrum, one that perhaps sealing swords and a Goddess's bloodline cannot solve immediately.

Summary
It's the Queen’s funeral and per custom, there is a feast for the guests. It takes them a while to come to terms with their great loss, and to feel comfortable enough to chow down on the food... particularly so for a young boy whose sense of decorum is eclipsed by his hunger.
But when Link goes exploring in the royal gardens, he discovers a most unusual secret. Should he return to the feast or do something about it?

Summary
He was a knight, like his father was before him, and his father before him. He had been given a sword and shield to serve and protect his kingdom. He knew courage, charisma, and true companionship.
His destiny had been set for him, one that would be writ with blood and tears into the history of Hyrule. He was not aware of this fate. He would never have guessed that he would raise a Hero to wield the sword that sealed the darkness.
A chronicle of the son's life through the eyes of the father. Note: Despite being part of a series, this could probably stand alone.

Summary
Hyrule prepares for war as Calamity stirs. Champions are appointed great beasts to protect their lands. An ancient army of weapons built for this very purpose is awoken to action. The gears of a plan 10,000 years in the making begin to click into place. It needs a new hero who will aid the goddess-blood princess in sealing darkness away.
A young but talented knight named Link is plucked right out of the royal guard for this very task. He soon discovers that the fighting isn't the hard part - Princess Zelda is beautiful, clever, and VERY good at running away.
It takes both Wisdom and Courage to reconcile fate and freedom, duty and passion, success and failure. This story follows our hero and princess as they go from reluctant allies to friends, friends to best friends, and best friends to... well, we'll see.
Alternating POV, but a little more time in Link's. Will reference/depict all memories as of DLC2 with some changes in order because it's absolutely infuriating how geographically ridiculous they are if you go by the official chronology.

Nobody carries the banner quite like the vivacious smart-aleck Gavroche, or as he is known to his fellow newsies, Urchin. Featuring our beloved newsboys as well as our favourite student revolutionaries, and maybe even an ex-convict or two.
This is a repost from my FFN account with very minor edits. Bringing it here because damn, I've always been proud of this one.
