Summary
Partway into the trip to Erid, Rocky reveals to Grace that he could hear him every time he tucked himself into the bathroom to get off. Things get weird.
"Makes sense. Though, I think the closest word we have for that in English would be alluring. Like, something that's attractive or enticing, pleasing to the senses. But that word has kind of, um. Intimate undertones," I finish awkwardly. I'm regretting saying that already. It is legitimately the closest match that I know, but I basically just told my best friend that he unwittingly called my gross organ sounds sexy. Surely that's not what he-- wait a minute.

Summary
Despite the circumstances, I find myself closer to a real connection with another being than ever before. I'm closing on a real, treasured friendship for what I'm starting to believe may be the first time in my life.
My new friend, the faceless rock spider, is sleeping next to me while separated by a lovingly crafted barrier between our atmospheres. As much as I resent that barrier, I'm quietly thankful that there's something stopping me from acting on these strange, terrifying feelings I've developed.
