“Toph” Her name sounded breathless as he gulped. He was wound tight like a bowstring, waiting to be let go. But, as much as he was dying to, he couldn't give in yet. No, he would take his time and be patient and respect her pace. He would prioritise her comfort and her pleasure, because before coming onto this ship with his family, Sokka felt as though something was missing from his otherwise lively, fulfilling life with his dad and sister. There was warmth and love, but he craved a weight that only he could find solace in. And now, boarding this ship, he had met Toph, the love of his life, who had come into his life not uninvited, but as if she had always belonged in his orbit and now she was finally home.

"See, this—" His voice tangles and she fights a smirk at his struggle, knowing she got to him. "This is why you don't invite girls into the band, it's never just playing, there's always drama—"
"And who's the one who started it?" she shoots back. "It's only been two minutes, you can't have forgotten already."
"I'm not starting anything, I'm just wondering where the hell our actual drummer's gone."
