After Shepard and the rest of her team are practically grounded for a mission gone horribly wrong, she becomes restless and volunteers for an expedition to Akuze to prove that she's capable and strong enough to still be in service. Seeing it purely as a fast track back into being tasked with bigger missions, she thought it'd be a simple, get in, see what had happened, and get out. But, of course, nothing ever goes to plan.
