Viktor hated parties. There was a very good reason for this that went beyond not enjoying crowds or socializing. Unfortunately, he could not avoid Hextech's first sponsor event. To make it worse, Jayce was annoyingly attuned to his distress, and Viktor was too good at planning ahead and attempting to preserve his own wellbeing.

“Who’d you get?” Jayce asked by way of greeting.“Mel. Could be worse,” Caitlyn said. “You?”
“Vander,” he said, crestfallen.
“Hm. You were hoping for Viktor.”
Jayce nodded even though it was not a question.
“You already got him some sentimental, perfect gift.”
Another nod to another non-question.
Viktor and Jayce crash out just a little as they try to get each other for the office secret gift exchange.
