Summary
After a few lewd dreams about his best childhood friend, the team notices Yamaguchi's increasing nervousness around Tsukishima. Especially around the Tokyo Training camp.
They soon find out about, his crush and try to set him up a date, on that day Tsukishima brings a girl with them, thinking they were just hanging out normal. Said girl he had met some time before, and drives a distance between them on the date. Yamaguchi saddened leaves, avoiding Tsukishima at school. He eventually confronts Yamaguchi, and it turns out badly.
Ending their friendship when Yamaguchi finally confessed out of fear.
Life from then, seemed to go down hill for Yamaguchi, until he asked his teammates to convince Tsukishima to meet him.One. Last. Time.

When he promises to meet Ushijima the next day, but doesn't show up again for 12 years, as Ushijima is left hoping waiting to see him again, until his 3rd year of High school.
He become distant to his Volleyball teammates, 1 week counting up to the day of the festival where he hopes to see his Yokai friend.
Look... I don't know if this is gonna have a happy ending or not.

Ushijima is an Omega, but everyone thinks of him an Alpha because of his big build and rich Earth scent.
He often corrects people but they don't believe him.
Tendou an Alpha is mistaken for an Omega for his slim figure and scent of chocolate.
For awhile he told people he wasn't an Omega but gave up trying to correct them. And plays into it being a joke between his friends anytime its mentioned.
Ushijima had been taking his suppressants often enough, that it made them ineffective for when his next heat came around, no one seemed to take notice of his heat because of his scent.
No one but Tendou. Tendou had found Ushijima curled over in the gym showers after everyone had gone back to their dorms for the night and offered to help him from his desires for the other as Tendou had liked Ushijima for awhile now.
