    While everyone in the Fellowship is having a pretty horrible time, Legolas is mostly trying to have his romcom moment, find his soulmate, see the world, all that stuff the romantics dream about. He's serious about the mission too, of course. But he's spent too long listening to all the stories about love and daydreaming about finding his own to just stop, now that he's finally gotten out of Mirkwood!

    This is basically a rehash of Lord of the Rings, except its from Legolas's POV, so it follows book canon pretty closely except that everything is heavily tinged by the sort of person I characterize Legolas as. Gimli/Legolas is Endgame, of course. Otherwise all canon typical ships and events happen, though I could make a good argument that Gimli/Legolas is canon in its own, private way.
