Summary
There's a moment of sheer joy when you get to hold your child for the first time.
Dean had resigned himself that he would never get to experience that. It just wasn't in the cards.
But he made a promise to care for this bundle of joy, and when the mother smiled and thanked him, he didn't know if the fear in his chest was because he just lied to a dying woman or because he was going to actually do it.- Language:

Summary
Dean is back from purgatory and clearly not taking it very well. He and Sam are in the midst of a demon hunt when they realize something a bit more angelic is going on. When Castiel returns, he and Dean have to fight with some very confronting emotions and destroy the baddie, not to mention perhaps benefit from their mutual realization.

Summary
To Dean sex is the one thing you can't possibly fuck up, therefore a 'friends with benefits' relationship with a fallen angel seems like a piece of cake. After all sex is sex.
That is, of course, until the universe starts trying to teach him a few lessons. The most important being how hard it is to tell someone you love them.
After that realisation things start getting a little complicated.
