Some people believe in ghosts, others… don't.
My name is Ed Zeddmore, and I've never believed in ghosts until I came face to face with one. So I set out on a quest to capture the sound of the paranormal in a podcast like never before, with no big crews following us around. Joined only by my fellow investigator Harry Spangler, the two of us will travel to some of the most highly active supernatural locations, where we will spend entire days being locked down from dusk until dawn, no cheating, no tricks.
Only us, the Ghostfacers!
Today we'll delve into the heart of an old colonial-style tenement house to unravel its mysteries and unmask its ancient ghosts! Its owner, Castiel Novak, and his sole tenant, Dean Winchester, are waiting for us. And with them the poignant story of a man accustomed to solitude but who, by necessity or fate, was forced to share a house with a stranger at the age of fifty.
A change that was probably the catalyst for what Mr. Novak describes as "something strange is happening in my house."

Summary

One foggy night, a mysterious man with golden eyes brings him back to life, and Castiel becomes so obsessed that he doesn't care about dying at the hands of thieves and monsters as long as he finds his savior: Dean Winchester, a handsome sailor with green eyes instead of gold, the only detail that seems to be wrong.

[GODSTIEL CASE LOG – SEPTEMBER 5]
The creature has finally been imprisoned in a pocket dimension woven from the very fabric of our reality. The spell won't last long, and it has claimed the lives of the Men of Letters' finest sorcerers, so all that remains is to find the original confinement site and reactivate it.
We, Michael Davies and Arthur Ketch, are aboard the Pristine, one of the magically reinforced vessels of the Men of Letters' British branch, heading east from the location where we captured the creature before it could devour the continent any further. The reverse energy trail leads us to the area formerly known as Maine, now part of what our surveyors are already calling "The Great Chomp".
We hope to find the answers we need there, in the middle of the now larger Atlantic.
Until then, we can only speculate and pray for the best.

Dean is dead. Allegedly. The angel Castiel is supposed to take his soul to Heaven before taking over his body, but his soul is being remarkably stubborn about going, clinging to the moment of his death and refusing to move on. Something's wrong, and they both know it. Either the vessel donation office made a mistake, or something far more sinister is going on.
The more Dean thought about it, the more he wished he’d never signed up for this damned program. A hundred grand had seemed like the answer to every problem he had, and the idea that someone would puppet his body around had been entirely abstract. It had been easy to sign on the dotted line, at the time.
It wasn’t abstract anymore. Not now that he sat here with the thing who was going to do the puppeting.

Summary
London, the 1840s: Dean Winchester, newly released from prison, is in need of work. His brother, law clerk Sam Winchester, has a friend in need of a valet and lab assistant.
To Sam, it seems the perfect arrangement: his wayward brother will be set back on the righteous path by James Novak, a young father and promising scientist. Dean, still plagued by the horrors of prison life, is simply glad to have work and a roof over his head. He doesn’t much care for Mr Novak’s prayers, or for his experiments.
Until good Christian man James Novak undergoes a strange, mysterious transformation that makes him the sinful embodiment of all Dean’s most closely guarded fantasies.

There isn't really a height difference between them, but the older man is thicker, heavier with age and muscle and time. He's broader and probably stronger, if not for the injury. Dean could outrun him, if he had to, but to where? His own front door?
He reaches out a hand to touch Mr. Novak's belt, presses a finger to the silver buckle there.

It's Summer in Sugar Run, Florida. John has disappeared to God knows where, and Dean is doing whatever he can to make ends meet and keep food on the table.
