Summary
A pretty heavy and sad piece I wrote about two months after my grandmother, my Nana who was a second mom to me, passed away suddenly. To be honest, I wasn't in the best state of mind when I wrote this, and I finally broke down in front of others about a week after writing this. Grief is hard, and trying to stay strong for others will eventually backfire. I'm fortunate to be in a much better mental state now, but I have to say, this piece of writing is one of the most visceral, moving, emotional, and tear producing things I've even written. I felt like something this raw, this powerful, needed to be shared.
Imagine the feeling of pulling back the messy emotions of a broken heart, slapping on a brittle smile each day, and going through the motions of acting fine, acting like you're doing better, like you're healing, like you're moving past your grief. All while you go home and scream into your pillows at night in rage, anger, grief, despair, hopelessness, and exhaustion, all before getting up the next morning to do it all over again. This is what that feels like.

Summary
Finley is the Hero of Time's twin, Shiekah's pupil, enthusiast of ancient technology, and the second champion chosen by the goddess Farore. Due to being the twin of the Hero, Finley grew up seeing visions of past legends, or are they incarnations? After an serious injury and a meeting with the Goddess Farore, Finley starts seeing the future as well. She doesn't like what she's seeing and she's determined to change it so her brother doesn't have to go through everything alone or as an amnesiac. When a group catches wind of her prophetic visions and inherent magical ability, they will stop at nothing to take that power for themselves. Can Finley manage to help her brother and keep everyone safe all while trying to avoid capture?
