Summary
The year is 1942, and Europe is at war. Captain Victor Nikiforov, an intelligence operative for the NKVD, has been trapped in Berlin by the German invasion of the USSR. Posing as a Nazi industrialist, his days are spent charming information out of Axis diplomats to try and keep the Red Army fighting another day.
Yuuri Katsuki, a foreign-educated bureaucrat in the Japanese Embassy, has secrets of his own concealed beneath his unremarkable demeanour. When he uncovers Victor’s real identity, it will alter the course of both of their lives forever.

Summary
It started at a drive-in in the 1980s.
This isn’t a story about the immaculate conception that happens in the backseats of high school boys’ cars, nor is it the origin story for a New Wave-fueled cocaine addiction. That would be interesting. Unfortunately, this is a love story; a love story about the frontman of Quantum Queef, a punk band, and a boy who rides a red motorcycle.

How she finds herself lying on top of a three story theater, on a scratchy blanket with a couple of empty convenience store bentos a foot away, with a self-proclaimed fan (though she absolutely saw the Uravity charm on his keyring, good try keeping it subtle, Kacchan) who also happens to be a very very very good vocalist in a very very very popular band, just as he told her and she didn't believe him, looking at the stars in the middle of the night.

“He...that was my first kiss,” Yuuri whispers, staring down at his open palms on his lap helplessly.
Yurio makes a noise like he’s just been punched in the gut, and he growls something in Russian that Yuuri doesn’t bother translating. He only looks up when Yurio squats in front of him, firmly and unapologetically taking hold of Yuuri’s empty hands with his own, intense blue-green eyes staring at him.
“You deserve better than him.”

“Ok.” Yuuri smiled as this game of masquerade came to an end, what would happen now, he didn’t know, he would probably die, his family would come after him and try to put a knife in his back or a bullet between his eyes, none of it mattered, because together they would fight, and the rest of the world would finally burn.
