“This?” Eloise nearly yelled, pointing between Colin and Pen, “Whatever the hell this is… will be the fucking death of me.”
“Noted,” Colin chuckled, eyes sparkling as he glanced down at Penelope.
“And to think… it’s all thanks to you,” Pen smirked, draining her own drink as Eloise groaned and chugged hers.
Penelope could feel the heat radiating from Colin’s body as he hovered near their table. In the time that she’d been working as Elliot’s nanny, she’d come to realize that the mere presence of him in a room was enough to make the hairs on her arms stand on end. There was an electricity to him that she’d never experienced before.
