“Rope? Seriously Cas?” Dean looked up at the angel, his face a mix of confusion and curiosity. They’d been together a few months now, and had been having gratuitous amounts of sex in that time, but they’d yet to take that next step into anything properly kinky yet. Dean wasn’t sure how to feel about this, especially since Cas was the one bringing it up out of the blue.
“Yes, Dean. Whenever I use my hands to hold your wrists bound, I lose out on the full experience of your body,” Cas said calmly.

Summary
When Castiel’s plans for the summer get cancelled and he’s left with nowhere else to go, Dean invites him to go home with him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating.
And really it shouldn’t be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn’t actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.

Dean was standing in front of the mirror, rubbing at his jaw with an expression of dissatisfaction. He peered closer, touching the crow’s feet at the corners of his eyes and the rough, scarred skin under his right ear where some monster or other – Dean forgot which, there had been so many – had got a little too friendly. He looked like his oldest pair of jeans: a little wrinkled, patched up and worn thin in too many places. Slightly sad-looking, even on the brightest of days, and with some dirt ground in so deep that no amount of washing would ever get it out.
He sighed and shrugged at his reflection before turning away, heading for the door – where Cas was standing, awkwardly upright with his hands hanging by his sides. He must’ve seen the whole thing.
