Finally, the gods of Liyue are at peace.
With more time on his hands, and an inherent dislike of having nothing to do, Xiao decides to teach a talented young exorcist about the art of demon-slaying. Chongyun had never expected to be chosen to train under the only remaining yaksha, but it is an opportunity he is more than eager to take.
But nothing goes well. While preparations are being made for the upcoming Lantern Rite, the adeptus himself completely loses his memory, for reasons unknown. The spirits are restless once again, and with nobody to fight them, Chongyun must take up the difficult job while working with the only person willing to help, Xingqiu, on how to restore Xiao to his former self.

Finished placing the last meal onto the table, Lumine clapped her hand and addressed the room at large. Which is obviously Zhongli, hesistant Ganyu, and…Childe? Who invited him here? Ah right, he tagged along since she made the mistake of mentioning the meeting after their weekly spar. “Alright eat up. Now that we got food, we need to talk. Xiao’s birthday is coming up, and the big question is, what does Xiao want?”
“Me dead”
She stared at Childe.
He stared back, pouting, “I don’t know why, but he’s very aggressive whenever we meet. It’s a little disappointing, It’s not everyday I get the honor to meet the Vigilant Yaksha”. He looked so dejected she’s tempted to believe his sincerity, if she’s not perfectly aware that sort of thing was beyond his character. It’s Childe. He’s more likely to try his hand at defeating an adepti rather than ‘getting the honor to meet the Vigilant Yaksha’. From the corner of her eyes, she caught his hand inching towards the food.
What an actor. She huffed a laugh, slapping that sneaky hand. There’s perfectly good sets of chopstick on the table, he should keep his dirty paws to himself. “Yeah, because you keep shooting at him”

Summary
When Zhongli offered him a job for the millionth time and he finally accepted, Venti never thought that he would have to film his disastrous gourmet experiments so people on the internet could laugh at him. It's nice, though. Until Xiao shows up, and being in the kitchen goes from pleasant and relaxing to a constant struggle not to let his (very obvious) crush show.
