“Seungminnie will obviously be a lovely, lovely beta. The way he helped out with my heat, making me meals, washing any clothing that couldn’t be in the nest anymore, even when I argued, making sure I was hydrated. That’s classic beta behavior.” Hyunjin says casually, as if Seungmin’s heart hadn’t dropped after the first sentence.
Seungmin can still remember the way his chest felt hollow, like it had already been decided, he was going to be a beta, which meant Jeongin would probably find an omega to settle down with, which means Seungmin won’t be the one he settles down with.
“No, I don’t think so.” Jeongin speaks up, and only then did Seungmin tear his stare off the ground to meet his eyes, “He’s got the puppy dog eyes of an omega, I think.”
Even Jeongin wants him to be an omega.
“I think that just means he’s a bottom.” Changbin shrugged.

Summary
Jeongin feels a little guilty at the sort of sadistic pleasure he sees from getting to see Seungmin in subspace.
It’s not always a sexual pleasure, Seungmin is just too cute. When he furrows his brows because he can’t think straight, or when he looks up at Jeongin, unable to make a choice. Jeongin just has to think for him.
Which is what gave Jeongin this idea in the first place.
“Good boy.” Jeongin praised, watching as Seungmin settled down a bit, “What a smart boy. I wonder what subject you’re best in.” Jeongin knew, of course. Seungmin was really good at history, second only to Math.
“‘M smart, I’m good.”
“Yes, yes you are, sweet.” Jeongin smiled, “How about this, for each right answer you get, you get a small treat, yeah?”

Chan blinked a few times, processing what he had said before the rest of the pack could smell the hurt in his scent, “Jeonginnie, we’re only thinking about you.”
“No! You don’t know what I want and you don't know what I want for my birthday– one in the same, hyung!”
The pack looked around, a little confused, which only served to make Jeongin more frustrated.
Seungmin furrowed his brows, puzzle pieces starting to fit together in his head. He wasn’t sure if he was correct, though, and if he was wrong it could just piss Jeongin off even more.
(aka: Omega Yang Jeongin only wished for one thing for his birthday, the members tried to figure it out.

“I purred today.” Jeongin cuts him off, Chan stares at him wide-eyed.
“Really?” Jeongin nods, “I haven't heard you purr, since… I don’t think I’ve ever heard you purr.”
“I purred once, when I was fifteen, hyung. A decade ago.”
Chan sucks his teeth a bit, “Damn, Innie, you’ve got it bad.”
“I purred because I gave him a tape dispenser, and he used it.”
Chan just looked at him for a moment, “It sounds like your fox wants to court him, or subdue him, or something. You’re happy that you’re providing for him, at least, on a subconscious level.” Jeongin cringes, because that’s exactly what was going through his head when he gave Seungmin the tape.

Jeongin looked at the door, frowning.
He understands, he really does. Omegas get territorial, it’s a commonly known fact. Hell, alphas get just as territorial, if not worse.
Hence why he’s been sitting in front of Seungmin’s door for days.
It’s Seungmin’s first heat since their pups were born. He had read online how much more territorial omegas get after they become mothers— but to think Seungmin would kick Jeongin out? The pups’ father?
He can’t say he’s not a little hurt.

“Please, don’t be afraid.” the man says, voice soft and quiet. “My name’s Felix. I’ve been sitting here for half an hour and you have stopped shivering about five minutes ago.” he explains, his expression turning worried. “That's not good. I wanna help you.”
He moves around, kneeling now. It makes the fox growl again and press even further against the rough bark of the tree and its root.
“You were in our garden yesterday. I. It probably was a lot to see all of us at once, but we really wanna help you.” he tells him. “I- I’ll keep it a secret if you want. I don’t have to tell my boyfriends, but you need to get somewhere warm. Please, let me help you.”
OR where Jeongin has been forced into his fox form and after years of struggeling alone, he is finally found.

Jeongin was completely comfortable with the fact that his dad’s love came in the form of cheese buldak and mint chocolate chip ice cream and silly little gifts and bags upon bags of home cooked food and cups of coffee and lighthearted scolding, he always has been.
