“Shit, I’m sorry,” Suguru hisses as he dives for his phone. If the fall didn’t break it, that sticky drink certainly did the trick.
He looks up at the guy in front of him, and he’s met with blue eyes the same shade as the ocean, the clear sky above him, a galaxy all their own. Something in Suguru’s mind seizes, falters and reboots itself in the span of a second, because he’s never seen this guy before so why does a familiarity pull at his chest so hard it hurts?

When Yanli had initially floated the idea of a weekly family breakfast (to bring everyone together, she had said, and to welcome A-Xian’s husband into the family), Jiang Cheng hadn’t been particularly thrilled. It had at least been an excuse to see A-Jie more regularly, though, and the way Jin Ling’s little face lit up every Sunday morning when he arrived was enough to keep him coming back each week.
So yes, he’s come to enjoy his weekly Sunday morning routine. So what? He’s only human. And he’s a good brother, no matter what anyone says.

“Very well,” Lan XiChen hums, as the hand carding through Jiang Cheng’s hair moves to cup the side of his face instead, his thumb gently caressing the younger’s flushed cheeks. “How many times should I spank you then, puppy? Perhaps, one hit for every time you rubbed yourself up against my shoe?”
Jiang Cheng tries to turn his head away, face burning with embarrassment but Lan XiChen’s hand holds him in place, not letting him hide away.
“I–I don’t remember how many times I—”
“Eighteen times,” Lan XiChen interrupts, eyes gleaming with mirth as he sees the younger’s eyes widen. “Twenty if we count the times you thought I wasn’t looking.”
