Jisung rested his hands on Minho’s shoulders the second he was within reach. “You know you're too old to be doing stuff like that, ahjussi.”
“You’re calling me old a lot this evening Jisung-ah.” Minho’s hands settled firmly on Jisung’s ass. “That’s not very nice.”
Minho’s voice set a heat haze shimmering across his body. The silver hair at Minho’s temples glinted in the light spilling from the door, Jisung bit his lip.
“That’s okay. You know what they say hyung, you’re only as old as the man that you feel. I’ll keep you young.”
Or: Jisung still loves Minho after decades together, grey hairs and all.

Summary
Minho has a lot of tolerance for rule breaking. Most rules are dumb anyways. Most are made to be broken. God knows he’s not the best at following company policy and if he wasn’t an idol, he’d speak out a lot more about how unjust he thinks a whole big chunk of the law is, but there are some rules he respects. He respects the rules that other people set for each other.
Don’t talk to Seungmin in the morning before he’s had caffeine. Leave Hyunjin alone when his bedroom door is closed. Don’t interrupt 3RACHA in a studio session unless you are also a part of said session. Don’t be too mean when teasing Felix.
Minho follows all these rules to the best of his ability and so does everyone else, but he still has a fair amount of forgiveness for anyone who breaks them, especially by accident. There’s really just one that he really doesn’t play around with under any circumstances.
Do not yell at Jisung.

They're both as familiar with unexpected turns in their schedule as can be, but Minho can't help the pang of guilt in his chest. “Had three protein bars at nine. Don’t think I can eat. Sorry for making you wait.”
“It’s okay, jagi.” Soft and patient. “How about you shower while I eat something quickly and join you in bed?”
Minho doesn’t answer immediately. Puckers his lips and Jisung laughs before pecking the pout. Sends him off with a final caress to his hand before disconnecting them. He’s so gentle with him that sometimes, Minho has to pause, has to stop himself from wondering whatever he must’ve done in a past life to deserve this.
This. Jisung in bed with him, soft under the moonlight, facing him and petting his freshly washed hair. He smells like their toothpaste. His voice is syrupy with love. He asks about his day, and Minho answers briefly, too tired, and not needing to elaborate. Jisung’s touch remedies hours of practice. Seeps warmth into his skin.

Summary
Three years isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of things. Those early days flew by. Military life kept him busy, with little time to think about the way he and Jisung had left things. The awkward silence and unshed tears. The way they both held themselves together, only to fall apart the moment the apartment door closed.
During his enlistment, before Jisung started his own, they called several times. Met up for dinner when time permitted. He was able to pretend that things weren’t all that different from when they were parted due to their work schedules. Made the separation much easier to bear. It wasn’t until he was back in the empty apartment, alone, that it truly hit him. His duffle bag hit the floor with a dull thud, echoing through the place they once shared. The first of many instances where the walls felt too wide, the rooms too vast, the apartment lonely.
The day he came home he set a reminder on his phone. It felt like a lifetime away the first few times he looked at it, but now it was only a few hours before his phone would come to life with a notification saying ‘Jisung 🏠 💕’.

“Everything ok?” The boy looks worse for wear. Hair messy from where he dragged his hands through it. Tear tracks drying on his still flushed cheeks. Eyes puffy and bloodshot. Minho assumes their appearance mimics one another, seeing as he spent the last half hour silently crying in the security that only darkness can bring.
He wants to give Jisung an answer. ‘Of course, baby. Go back to sleep’. Or, ‘don’t you know you’re not supposed to worry about your elders’? Even an honest ‘I’m absolutely terrified, Jisung’ would suffice. However, his voice dies in his throat, lips too numb to form words. With a quiet exhale he surges forward until their lips meet, arms wrapping around Jisung’s waist in an instant to pull the dumbfounded rapper closer. The desperation of his actions surprises him. As does the underlying need to feel Jisung against him. Beneath his fingertips, in his mouth, between his legs. A reminder that this man that he loves more than anything is still a tangible thing. Is still his. That it’s not over, at least not until sunrise.

The time has come for Stray Kids to begin their military enlistments. For Minho this means more than just a separation from the group, but from Jisung as well.Series
