    “L-Life-sized dolls?” Hijikata asked, baffled.

    “That is correct, my good sir!” a cheerful voice chimed. Hijikata turned to see a boy also wearing sunglasses and a green babushka-style headscarf.

    “Look, we even have a special feature!” the boy continued proudly. “This particular doll will do whatever you command—without a single complaint!” The boy grinned wide, and Hijikata would be lying if he wasn’t slightly amused.

    “Really? You don’t say.” Hijikata's gaze met Gintoki’s, and a smirk tugged at his lips.

    “Slap yourself.”

    The sharp smack of Gintoki’s palm striking his cheek echoed through the street. Hijikata winced at the bright red handprint blooming across his face.

    Or: Hijikata loses the Yorozuya during a chase, stumbles upon a suspiciously lifelike Gintoki doll, and arrests it for identity theft. Things only get worse(and perhaps hotter) from there.
