The fight between Robert and Shroud ends much differently. He had still gotten away in the nick of time and the bomb had still been stuck to his suit. However, the explosion had left Robert with injuries so severe that it was a miracle he'd survived. Regardless of how life-altering his injuries were, SDN was still willing to take a chance on Robert. Managing his disabilities and mentoring the team was the hardest balancing act of his life.

This life changing moment where Robert couldn't decide whether or not he'd live his ways to regret it. Not that he could think clearly enough right now to weigh up his decision.

With a swift flick of the wrist, the patient pulled the trigger at Dennis's shin as if he wasn't using that, sending Dennis to the floor and clutching the wound as tight as he could.
"Go get your fucking boss. The head of the hospital for all I care. Just get 'em here." He said.
Dennis could barely understand him over the sound of the ringing in his ears. Over the sound of his loud breathing. Over the throbbing in his chest and the adrenaline flooding through his veins. He was going to die here. Bleed out slow and painfully.

The pastor there gives him a message that fills him with a newfound confidence and hope. A hope that Robby is willing to take and cherish, helping him with whatever he needs to better himself.

Call it a bonus. Nowadays, he keeps his training a secret—since it never comes up in conversation—and lives alongside his best friend, Rouge, in their apartment. And since it was summer, he and Rouge had been invited out for a beach day! Within the group, there just so happened to be a type 1 diabetic. With that and the hot day ahead, there was just something waiting to happen.

For the birthday celebrations, Vanilla seemed to bite off more than she could chew and needed someone to look after Cream whilst she recovered and cleaned up. Who better to ask than the mostly emotionally unavailable hedgehog who would rather be alone than look after children? Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to say no in the face of a cutie like Cream. The day doesn't go as planned, and it turns into something Shadow was avoiding for a long time.

After being made to relive his past and become familiarise himself with *her* voice and touch, Shadow has to go to that godforsaken birthday party. But he couldn't handle it. It was stupid to think he could in the first place.
