Summary
Guts arrives in Midland with two things: a bike held together by sheer stubbornness and a debt he can't outrun. The plan is simple: win races, make money, don't get caught.
He manages one out of three.
One ill-advised bet later, he is owned by the silver-haired, annoyingly perfect leader of the Band of the Hawk, who has a talent for getting under Guts' skin, and a way of making him obey despite himself.
Guts has unresolved submission issues, Griffith is a control freak and Casca has a very bad taste in men.
