Summary
There comes a certain point in your life when you can't bear to continue fixing things while having other things falling apart... Or, well, those things being fucked over by other people. She could call it a ragequit, but after getting betrayed, tortured, humiliated for a good couple of years straight, after destroying a few buildings, after beating up a bunch of people, after casting a solid amount of hexes on sometimes innocent souls, the only thing she felt was deep, crushing exhaustion. Katie did not quit from rage, it was exhaustion. And despite loving her previous home and that little family that she had left, leaving was the only thing that truly finally felt right. Cutting strings with her previous job, people and lifestyle was the best thing she'd ever done for herself so far.
That being said, it obviously didn't stop an annoying little bitch with soft ears and big fluffy tail to bother her every month since she left.

Summary
The church was never supposed to be there.
Ewron discovers it by accident while searching for a hidden location to expand Multi’s uranium operation away from the Federation’s attention. Near the cliffs above the Polski Cave stands a structure unlike anything he has ever studied before: unfamiliar symbols carved into stone, pink stained glass that seems to alter the light itself, and a silence that refuses explanation.
So Ewron keeps it.
Then Katie arrives, and the church finally begins to answer back.
As radiation sickness slowly destroys Ewron’s body, strange things begin happening around the two of them. Symbols shift. Bells ring without reason. Katie begins hearing voices where there should be silence, while Ewron starts seeing patterns that seem to follow her everywhere she goes.
And as the Federation starts paying closer attention to the church, the uranium beneath it, and the people surrounding both, Ewron is forced to confront the possibility that whatever he discovered on the cliffs was never meant to stay hidden forever.

The only home Ewron has ever known is quickly falling by the hands of the Federation. With desperation increasing, the small jungle village of Polska Husaria conclude that the only way to end this war is to make a sacrifice to their deity, Katarzyna. Ewron is chosen for this task.
Katarzyna is the deity of all things good. She allows for the crops to grow, the water to be clean, their harvests to be fruitful. But she cannot control war. She cannot prevent it nor end it, for those are the actions of humans and humans alone. She cannot interfere.
What will happen when the sacrifice goes wrong?
