Summary
It wasn't surprising when Lena stopped him as he passed the charge desk. "Mohan's got a dicey one in North six. Thirty year-old female with broken ribs and a fractured orbital. Claims she fell, but her boyfriend won't leave the room. You might check on her."
Jack felt his heartrate pick up at the thought of Samira in a small room with a domestic abuser. "Yeah. Thanks for the heads up," he shot back, before turning and heading in that direction.
He told himself to calm down. Samira could handle herself. Hypervigilance was a symptom, his therapist's voice told him, not a reflection of reality. He walked at a brisk pace anyway.

Summary
So it had been fine, every Saturday she'd spent hanging out by herself in her mom's living room. She was focusing on herself, enjoying her own company. And every double she had pulled, well it wasn't to avoid going back to her barely furnished apartment in Shadyside, but rather to learn, to soak herself on the cases the ED promised and make her well-fought residency spot worth it.
She would make up for it, she would tell herself, at some point, in the future, when she accomplished her goal. Except the goal had continued changing, the deadline delayed, and at some point Samira had stopped living in now's but rather in if's and when's.

Summary
When he boards the elevator he’s upset. By the time he leaves the elevator he’s angry, each reverberation of his feet hitting asphalt felt in the remaining bones and surgical grade titanium in his right leg, all the way up to his hip. It takes him less than sixty seconds to walk from the parking deck to the ambulance bay. Ten feet from the entrance, he sees Robby walk through the first set of doors, past Ahmad, and then through the second set of doors. His pulse roars in his ears, his heart pounding in his chest. For the first time in years, Jack Abbot feels something approximating rage, an emotion he has long assumed to be medicated out of him.
His hands furl into fists.
++
Robby commits the critical error of making Samira cry. Jack reacts.

Summary
“You’re Buck’s Babbles, right? That’s your podcast?” Eddie asks. Buck uncrosses his arms as his eyes widen and he steps closer to Eddie. He looks a little stunned.
“Uh - y-yeah. It is. How - how do you know that? I don’t have any of my social media linked to it,” Buck stutters, stepping closer again. Eddie is peripherally aware of the others staring at them but he can’t break himself out of the bubble they’ve found themselves in. The reason Eddie is standing where he is right now is standing right in front of him. Buck is standing right in front of him.or
The one where Buck had a podcast and helps Eddie before they meet (and Eddie is totally smitten).

Summary
Her thoughts are as follows: If Subject A (Mel) shows signs of discomfort, Subject B (Frank) will try to help, and vice versa. Therefore, if A is in need of a replacement for an article of clothing, B will do his best to provide A with one.
It’s shaky logic, all things considered, but it’s enough.
All that’s left is for Mel to put her hypothesis to the test.
Or: Mel can’t stop stealing Frank’s clothes. It’s becoming quite the problem.
