Sae leans over the bathroom sink, bile in the back of his throat. He’s starving. But his body fat percentage was too high the last time they checked it, and he cannot risk being another step out of line. So he ignores his empty stomach and splashes ice cold water over his face instead.
When he looks in the mirror, he’s not sure if he recognizes himself. The water drips down his face, catching on his lashes. There are bags underneath his eyes, and a hollowness in his irises. He looks older than 15.
He turns around and walks out.

Summary
His whole life, he never got to see what was on the surface.
Whenever he would ask around, nobody had an answer, because everybody was forbidden from seeing the outside world.
His brother would get angry if he would even think about it.
Finally having enough, despite his friends’ warnings, Rin decides to do something impulsive.
He doesn’t care if he dies, he just wanted to see. A little glimpse would suffice, too.
So when he sees a human floating around in the ocean, he knew he had to save him.
Why? He doesn’t know.
OR;
Rin disobeys his brother and sets off on an adventure, meeting a blue-haired boy in the process.
