Summary
Richmond De la Cruz, a high-achieving student, is devastated by his knowledge of placing second, defeated by Jeromy Dizon, his rival. Under the pressure his parents would be putting on him, he finds himself reflecting on the exhausting expectations that are to be placed on him. The second his parents found out about his score, they reprimanded him and didn’t hesitate to get him a tutor. Richmond is unaware that his academic rival would be the one sitting on the opposite side of the table. Somewhere between the sessions and the quarrels, when suddenly Richmond starts to feel something for Jeromy, something he knows he shouldn’t feel for someone he’s supposed to despise.
