you sigh under your breath after a few minutes, bored despite the entertainment in front of you. but you keep your attention on him nevertheless, studying the way the tips of his ears are flushed red, how he almost trips up on his words whenever you press up and inward at exactly the right angle, how he has to lick his lips every so often mid-sentence to keep his gasps from being punched straight out from his gut.
oh, that was a nice image. you file it away to fulfil later at another time--he’s always so awfully eager to be thrown around, so he wouldn’t protest if you want to stick a few knives in him and dangle him off a cliff.
but for now, you have him here to play with in public.
