That is what Akira is.
He had always been that way—or at least, that’s what he’d been told.
But it’s not his business to object to it.
He just let accept that.
That is what he is.

Summary
Mari has always been described as a very perceptive, keen and intelligent girl. Maybe that's why she's so good with playing the piano.
It comes to her easily, her finger dancing and weaving across the keyboard keys as she could quickly discern which keys to press next. Sunny and her friends were watching expectantly, clearly impressed with her skill.
Maybe that's also why she noticed Basil was hurting himself.
Or
Basil has been hurting himself.
Mari notices.
Featuring Mari being a good older sister for the group.
Read the trigger warnings in the author notes before proceeding, stay safe.

Summary
It's been four years since that fateful day of the recital, and yet- everything has turned out okay. Mari and Sunny were both stressed of course, but they got through their struggles. Despite Mari surviving, everyone still has their own issues to deal with. Whether it be their shitty home lives, the crippling pressure of parents, or the torment of their own head, this story is just as heavy as the original property. The majority of this story is written from the perspective of Basil.
