Or - Wilbur, loneliness, and how he copes with the necessary decision to let Tommy recover without him.

Summary
Wilbur thought that being vulnerable was nothing but a Sisyphean task - impossible, and not worth the effort.
However, when he ends up saving a little white kitten from the arctic blizzards, and finds himself getting attached, he realises he might have stumbled across something worth being weak for.-- Or, after his revival, Wilbur accidentally adopts a therapy kitten.

Summary
“Um, hey,” Ranboo spoke up, before cringing at his own awkward start. “Hi, it’s - it’s me again. Ranboo. Your… neighbour.”
All at once, the colour returned to Wilbur’s eyes as he regained focus. The man blinked once, then twice, almost as if he were being woken from a dream, before his gaze finally settled on his disruptor.
“Oh! Ranboo,” he spoke, voice surprisingly quiet. “It’s late, isn’t it? I didn’t think you’d be awake.”
--
Ranboo spots Wilbur late at night, and decides to try and have a conversation with him - just in case they got off on the wrong foot, you know? It goes as well as you might expect.

Summary
For all it was worth in the end, the original L’Manberg was never all that grand.
Past the rose-tinted nostalgia, it was small and restrictive, ugly and stained with the acrid tang of soot and ash and death. Despite all its flaws, though - despite its burn scars, its crater holes, and its air of destruction, Tommy had never felt like he belonged anywhere more.
--
Tommy reflects on the places he's lived in, and thinks a little too much about his dead "brother". He would like to say that he doesn't miss Wilbur. Evidence points to show otherwise.

Summary
"I never anticipated that I would write in this book.
I’m not the kind of person who is all too fond of keeping personal records, though I’ve always taken an interest in literature. I never expected to find myself in a position where my insight might mean life or death, though. Maybe it’s a good idea to organise my thoughts, just so I don’t forget anything important.
So, I’ll start from where I become relevant.
My name is Wilbur Soot, and I am at the head of the L’Manbergian Revolutionary Army. "

L'Manberg, from its Independence War to its first Elections, told partially through Wilbur's Journal.

Summary
Hybrids are an ancient species of humans crossed with animals, blessed with the favour of nature. They used to live in peace on the SMP’s land, but ever since the dawn of humanity’s modern culture, they have become ostracised and hunted by their once-brethren.
Wilbur Soot is a hybrid, and so is his son, Fundy. The world doesn't like that very much.

"Christ," Greg says, completing his blasphemy. "It’s a funny scene, Alex, I don’t deny it, but I can’t say it does much for me. I have just never gotten the appeal. Slimy wet things sliding into your clothes all cold. What's wrong with a good old fashioned cock, I ask you."

Ratio tears his eyes away from Screwllum. Veritas Ratio is a realist, not a romanticist. There is, indubitably, something wrong with him.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Is ‘my’ touch that stimulating, Dr. Ratio? Or is it simply that any suggestion of intimacy will do?”
Ratio whips his head around to look back at the True Sting when it speaks again, sounding rather unlike Screwllum. There’s a different quality to its voice - something pitched a half step lower. But most importantly, it’s … “That’s not - neither is -” Aeons. Ratio can feel himself flushed further, his head beginning to spin as the heat spreads through his body, as if his bloodstream were carrying it to each extremity.
“I find your physical reaction rather telling.” Hallucinatory Screwllum’s voice takes on a teasing tone, and it pointedly shifts its head to look down. Ratio freezes in place. He does not need to follow the hallucination’s gaze to realize what it’s looking at. “Affirmation: It is endearing.”
“There is no basis for -”

Summary
“Himeko, am I…” Welt sighs and takes off his glasses to rub the bridge of his nose, unsure how to finish that sentence. Imagining things? Reading too much into this?
“A dirty old man?” Himeko's smile blossoms into a grin as Welt splutters.

“But you look so sexy like this, Mr. Yang.” Welt can’t figure out if he’s being mocked or not, but then Caelus grips Welt’s thigh with his free hand and leans forward to kiss his way up from Welt’s knee, and he finds he doesn’t really mind either way.
“Mr. Yang,” Caelus says, kissing up his thigh and making it terribly difficult to think. “You’ll tell me what to do?”
Welt feels his face go red hot. “If you’d like.”
“I would. I really, really would.”
Welt has to resist the urge to put his face in his hands. It’s a slow death by humiliation with this boy.

Summary
It’s the sort of suggestion he might pass off as a joke. Something to make Kristoph scoff, avert his eyes and fix his glasses. Irritation with just enough room left for friendliness. But that’s not what it is. Not really.
“Play?” Kristoph cocks a brow. “I’m no gambler, Wright.”
Phoenix just smiles, tilting his head up in a challenge. “Neither am I.”
“Semantics.”
“Absolutely.” He nods across from himself, “Are you gonna sit down or what?”
(A first competition between friends. Takes place on the former end of the seven year gap.)

Bookmarker's Notes
“Do you really think I can’t see you?” Phoenix challenges through clenched teeth. “Think I don’t know exactly what you want? You can’t lie to me, Kristoph.”
Kristoph lets out a shaky breath, hiding his face again. He swallows, working to keep his voice steady.
Then he says, “Of course I can.”
Phoenix’s lip curls into a snarl. It’s with an abrupt sort of viciousness that he yanks at the bunched up collar of Kristoph’s dress shirt, pulling it back and down so he can sink his teeth into the soft skin of Kristoph’s shoulder.

Summary
Welt Yang is not without his faults and vices, and Void Archives loves to pry him open by the cracks in his resolve to see what’s happening inside.
(Stubbornly, they do not look into their own, and whether it is from ignorance or fear for feeling is uncertain.)
It’s a mutual indulgence that only one of them is suitably embarrassed about.

Bookmarker's Notes
It feels something like drunkenly falling down a spiral staircase, with the rest of the Archives’ words taken into account. The truth of them bruises Welt in ways he doesn’t want to look at, and his head spins with the realization that he enjoys being so thoroughly wanted. Habitually, he tries to deny himself that selfishness.
“Regardless of our shared history,” Welt reminds him with a pitifully resentful rumble, “I came here with the purpose of protecting this universe and the people in it, who aren’t aware of what’s coming for them. What they feel towards me isn’t important, so long as I can prevent the worst of what’s to come.”
