Summary
When Loid adopted Anya and they became the Forgers, he made sure that the families with the surnames Williams, Levski, Klein, and Roche that were most likely to adopt were either no longer in Berlint or at least lived in or worked on the other side of the city. For the ones that were too close for his liking, he made sure to keep Anya away from any neighborhoods or establishments that would increase the chance of a run-in. In a city of almost 1.3 million people, there was a very small chance that the Forgers would run into any of them by happenstance. It was such a small chance that Loid had discounted the possibility after doing the math.
Perhaps that chance hadn’t been small enough.

Dan Heng wouldn’t consider himself a jealous person, possessive and protective yes…but not jealous. To be honest, he only ever got possessive when it concerned Stelle.
“Ah, Stelle, there’s a package here for you.” The ashen haired woman perked, gold eyes curious. “Oh? From who?” She wondered, walking over to where Dan Heng stood by one of the small tables near a window. “Unsure but it has your name on it.” Dan Heng commented, walking over to the omni-synthesizer to give Stelle the privacy to open her package.
“Oh!” He heard Stelle exclaim as he made himself a drink. “It’s from Aventurine.” Dan Heng nearly dropped his cup, eyes going wide. From that IPC representative? “Oh, these must be the pajamas he was talking about.” SAY WHAT?!
Dan Heng was going to kill that gambler...one day...
