Summary
Dream, is the cliche and classic high school quarterback. He's a tall, witty, obnoxious, extremely full of himself, very egotistical guy who everybody adores. Or that's what George thinks at least.
Dream thinks George is equally annoying. He's always yelling out the answers in class, being annoying, bragging about something stupid, and he's the only person who refuses to acknowledge Dream's presence.

Summary
“Y’know...” Don’t make me say it. “That one time I said—I said, ‘I love you,' in my sleep?”
“Oh,” George’s murmur subsides, slipping into a silence drowned with his own thinking. His eyes glance to the side as he attempts to remember that day. Dream sees the exact moment he does, lips parted and hot skin; George’s blush makes Dream fonder of the memory. “Ah, yeah. Was it the one that I—did I soundboard it?”
“You did.” Dream remembers the lightheaded feeling, the sleep deprivation carving his brain until it was sculpted to think about George and George only. The easiness of falling into softened breathing and closed eyes, his jaw lax despite the weight of a confession dripping slowly from his tongue. “You played it all the time.”
“And you never told me what you were dreaming about,” George says, unexpectedly.
Or, a sleepless night, the faint light, and a much too romantic passage in the book he's reading.

Summary
A bright flash filled the sky and George shut his eyes tight, spite still coursing through his thoughts.
As he opened his eyes again and locked on to his chosen star one crystal clear thought filled his mind; 'I want to be as tall as Dream.' Maybe then, he'd understand, maybe then, the strange feelings would go away, maybe then... He glanced back to Dream and the fluttery feeling only got worse.
He crossed his arms in a huff. "There, I did it."
“Do you believe in wishes?” Dream murmured, a light flush covering his cheeks. He remained quiet, deciding to simply test the waters with his question.
George was tempted to answer bluntly, crass and uncaring with a truthful “no”, but seeing the optimism and nervous hesitation in Dream’s eyes, he haltered. But, looking to Dream and the way his sincere expression pierced his heart…
“Only... when you're here.” George muttered in a hushed tone.

After a tranquil night of wishing on stars, Dream and George find themselves in each other's bodies and have to deal with the aftermath while they avoid talking about their feelings like the emotionally constipated idiots they are.
