Commie thought he almost lost the air of control in his voice for a moment to how repugnant he found the statement.
"Working for you? Never, an utterly appalling thought, throw out the old watch, if you want my help on this. I have dozens. Can have a new one in by Friday for you, and a nicer one than that one."

Why does the bulge in Kim Kitsuragi's pants suddenly interest Harry so?
Kim calls Harry "lieutenant-double-yefreitor" ever since he was reunited with his lost badge. The badge shows his rank to be just that. Double-yefreitor meaning he passed up not one but two promotions. That rank makes him more senior than Kim.
Why does that small piece of information make Harry oddly satisfied?
All he knows is that he likes it when those words come out of Kim’s mouth. He likes how they sound. He likes Kim’s mouth.
