Every morning, they all run together, but in the stickiness of late afternoon with groceries in tow, it’s always just the two of them. They get back when the sun hangs low in the sky, not quite set, and Kakeru pretends to not notice when the sun seems lower every time, even as the days grow longer.

Before even a sound has escaped him, the figure turns and Kakeru bites down on the name before it slips his lips. It’s not him.
Now in his final year at Kansei University, Kakeru is busier than ever. He's trying to finish his degree while taking his new team to victory, but he can't help but feel like something, or maybe someone, is missing from his life.
