Summary
Grace Ashcroft feels in over her head. She’s struggling to adjust to a life of normalcy again after… everything. On top of that, she’s now raising a young girl who can’t stand to be away from Grace for more than a moment. The pressure is on, and Grace is unsure sometimes if she can handle it, but she’s doing her best.
And, luckily, she has help.
Leon S. Kennedy saved her life back in the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, and numerous times after. Ever since Grace met him, her entire world seemed to tilt on its axis. She isn’t entirely sure what’s wrong or right anymore, but she knows one thing for certain.
Leon paved his way into her life with blood and gunfire, and he’s here to stay at her side—for better or worse.

“You didn’t get my coffee,” his dad says, halfway through his burrito. He has been in a state of low, simmering irritation all evening, and apparently this is how long it took for him to find a reason to blame Peter for it.
“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”
“Do you have eyes?”
“Yes,” Peter says. “I have eyes.”
“So you could have checked if we needed coffee without me telling you every little thing, Jesus Christ.”
