Summary
Before Wei Wuxian knew love, he knew Jiang Cheng. It isn’t to say that he didn’t love Jiang Cheng; in fact, love must have been what fueled about ninety-nine per cent of his first life’s decisions, his love for that insufferable, simple-to-fluster, always-yielding boy. But he had never really thought of it in those terms. Jiang Cheng is easy. He’s always there. Wei Wuxian has always held the impression that love is meant to be turbulent and biting, in the heated, fleeting kind of way, and when that impression fades it is by force and not maturity.
Because he never matured, of course. He came back to life twenty years old.
And Wei Wuxian doesn't like easy.
