Absolutely astonishing, utterly stunning… Had Aoyama always been like this? Yes, of course. But, something about today...there was something about this very moment, Sero couldn’t look away. His heart pounded in his chest; he felt so alive. Aoyama made him feel like he was living despite the other doing the most mundane. After all, Aoyama was simply looking out the window. Nothing special and yet it was like Sero had never seen something so magnificent.
His fingers gripped around the cool pole next to him, his back pressed onto the aluminum of the train doors as his eyes traced Aoyama’s features. He couldn’t get enough of it, the softness of his eyes, the plumpness of his lips, the cute point of his nose, those long lashes… who told him any of that was fair? He’d love to know who’s hand he’d have to shake, give them his gratitude for making such a perfect human. Nay, a perfect star.
Though, it wasn’t all just physical, was it? Each stunning feature was somehow enhanced by the good heart that the smaller boy in front of him held. It was like it radiated through and Sero had to wonder how anyone couldn’t see Aoyama coming. The train cart was so much brighter and it had everything to do with him. But, it didn’t hurt Sero’s eyes. It didn’t blind him, he didn’t want to turn away. And, if he could pinpoint where exactly this light came from, he’d bet it resonated right in his soul. That had to be why his navel laser was as dazzling as it was. He couldn’t hold it all in, it’d be a crime to.
And here Sero was, so lucky to see this every day. For whatever reason, Aoyama had chosen him and it was like life was finally throwing him a bone. The most gorgeous being in the world, placed right on his lap… whatever he did to earn this, he was thankful for.
The train jerked to a halt, Aoyama’s eyes flickering from the window and onto the crowd of people behind him. Sero’s eyes followed as he watched business men and women, mothers, children and all other types of commuters try and squeeze through the door that just didn’t seem big enough. At least the doors Sero was leaning on was on the opposite side, and if he was correct the side they were on wouldn’t be used again before their stop.
His attention was grabbed again as Aoyama started to shuffle closer to him, the taller boy spreading his legs just a bit so the other boy could stand comfortably between them and the blonde wouldn’t have strangers pressing onto him. Also, in an utterly selfish reasoning, it also meant Aoyama could stand closer. His favorite sight, right in his atmosphere.
Sero couldn’t help himself anymore, wrapping his arms around Aoyama’s waist, pinky brushing over the surface of his navel laser hidden under the hoodie he had managed to swipe from Sero in the beginning of their relationship. Sero liked to play like he missed it, but it really did look much better on Aoyama. Even with the wideness of the sleeves just about swallowing him in it; it just made him look cuter.
Aoyama looked up past his lashes, timid smile on his lips as he placed his hands on Sero’s chest. They didn’t say anything, but really there wasn’t much to say now… Sero couldn’t trust his own voice, anyways. He was much too busy observing. Aoyama looked up at him more head on and Sero pulled his own grin at him. A long time ago, Sero had fallen deeply for the blonde’s smile… the genuine one, the one he got to see much more often now. It was another kind of twinkling that Aoyama would reach, something that belonged in some kind of museum. Sero didn’t know which... hell, he’d make it himself.
He was whipped. He was so utterly whipped .
He ducked his head, watching the way Aoyama’s eyes slid to a close as their foreheads pressed, those hands on his chest now sliding to rest on his shoulders. Sero thought of kissing him, but he didn’t want to look away just yet… he just wanted to be closer to him. Their noses brushed against each other, his lips landing on his cheek instead. Once, twice and a third time as Aoyama gave a soft chuckle.
“Hanta…” He breathed as Sero pulled back, those lavender eyes still half lidded as a pink blush worked onto his cheek.
Hand rose as fingers pushed through blonde locks, fixing it behind Aoyama’s ear before resting his hand on his cheek. Thumb smoothed over the soft skin, his cheeks turning a brighter shade of red now. Ah, another look Sero was absolutely obsessed with. He was just able to feel the way Aoyama pressed his cheek into his hand.
Angular smile stayed fixed on his lips, eyes running down that beautiful face. Head shook slightly, Sero’s next words coming out more on their own than anything else. “I love you…”
He was just able to make out the sound of Aoyama’s sharp intake of breath through the bustle of the train barreling down the rails. He felt him stiffen up in his hold and he wondered, for a moment, if he shouldn’t have said that at all. Though, he certainly didn’t regret it. His worries are subdued as Aoyama smiles brighter than Sero had ever seen before, effectively making him fall deeper in that very instant. Soon enough, he feels arms circle around his neck as Aoyama presses his body close to his. He isn’t quite sure, but he swears he could feel the quickening of the other’s heart. Though, it could’ve just been his own.
“I love you too.” He speaks into Sero’s neck.
How did a boy like him get so lucky?
