Work Text:
It was extremely hot. The high temperature reminding Bruce of a certain someone as he crouched high above Gotham. Constant sultry heat pressed intimately against his exposed skin, evaporating moisture and making him thirsty. Bruce flicked his tongue over his lips, wetting them, and an image flared to life in his head. Clark’s warm fingers caressing his cheeks, hot tongue swiping urgently across his parched lips, seeking entry.
Bruce shook his head and tugged his concentration back to the matter at hand, watching over Gotham. A slight breeze fluttered his cape, a bearer of false promises. Instead of refreshing coolness, the wind intensified the heat and humidity, and hotness clung to him, heavy and inescapable. Bruce shivered, remembering. Body weight pressing him into the bed, trapping him in a cocoon of heated warmth. A hot hungry mouth latching onto his neck, his collarbones, his nipples, and large eager hands fondling and stroking, setting off sparks of fiery heat everywhere they touched.
Damn it!
Bruce stood up and stalked along the narrow parapet, seeking to escape his unruly thoughts. Ever since he met that man, he had come to dislike hot summer nights. The feverish heat in the air reminded him of him, the ghost of warm wind like his puff of breath as he leaned in to kiss, and the stillness of the air similar to the poised stillness of him just before he pushed and plunged his shaft in, taking Bruce deep and hard. Bruce truly hated summer. He could not concentrate with all that heat surrounding him.
Suddenly detecting a presence, Bruce barked out sharply, “Don’t!”
But it was too late.
Strong gentle arms pulled him into a warm embrace that was utterly different from the atmospheric heat, and Bruce felt foolish for being so distracted.
“Missed me?”
A soft chuckle, a breath of air and a familiar pair of lips brushed against Bruce’s own, teasing and no intention of deepening the kiss.
Bruce sighed and bit that irritating pair of lips before pulling back. He then failed disastrously in his attempt to produce a fearsome Bat-glare.
“Penny One, sent me to fetch you.”
“I’m not a stick.”
Amused laughter followed by a kiss on Bruce’s cheek.
“Let’s go home. It’s pointless patrolling when your mind’s elsewhere. That’s what Penny One said and I do agree with him."
Hands tried to carry Bruce and he smacked them off in annoyance.
“I do have a car, you know.”
“Flying is way much faster.”
“It’s cold up there.”
“My body heat will keep you warm.”
“It’s much more comfortable in my car.”
“...”
A sudden mischievous grin and then a pair of hands was squeezing Bruce’s butt, pulling him onto a strong thigh that had pushed its way in between his legs. Bruce could feel the beginnings of an erection rubbing suggestively against him.
“Let me give you an incentive,” a voice low and husked sent tremors running down Bruce’s spine, “If you let me fly you home, I may let you top me tonight.”
“Hmm...” Bruce wrapped his arms round the neck of the man he had come to love, “The word, may, is not very convincing, full of uncertainty and weak promises.”
“How about, will, then?”
Bruce pursed his lips, not protesting when he was swept off his feet and into a pair of strong arms.
“You’ve to do better than that.”
“Okay, then let me change it to, must. Is the terms now agreeable to you?”
Bruce smirked and then kissed Clark hard. Together, they drifted higher, defying gravity. A mild disruption in the balmy air and they were gone, leaving behind a sudden blast of hot breeze gusting across empty rooftops.
