Work Text:

When you opened your eyes, you found yourself lying on a familiar black couch. It took your tired mind a few seconds to realize you still were in Victor’s office. You looked around to find him standing there watching you, a small space separating you two.

“Victor…” You weakly muttered, guessing by his demeanor what had happened.

“Don’t ever do that again” Came his deep voice, trying to convey no emotions even if there was a slight concern and anger in it.

“What, faint?” You smiled a little, trying and failing to sit up. “I don’t really have control over that, I’m afraid”

“It’s good to see your sense of humor and sarcasm are intact” A reluctant smile arrived to his lips. “I mean overworking yourself like that”

“Yeah, you’re not worth all the trouble” You strained, making an effort to sit up again. Noticing this, Victor rushed to help you.

His expression didn’t change. His lips were tightly pursed, but his eyes were still full of a deep concern. His hand didn’t leave your arm even when you were sitting, even as he occupied the spot next to you on the couch.

“I meant it, Y/N…” Finally, his voice sounded emotional and soft.

“I’ll be more careful” You hadn’t intended to exhaust yourself, you just wanted to get him the report before the deadline.

“Good” Victor’s voice was back to being cold again.

Exhausted as you were, you just realized your head had fallen on his shoulder. However, he didn’t move one inch, letting you rest over him.
