Work Text:

They were walking back towards the teachers’ lounge, which meant the joint training ended 30 minutes ago, but Hitoshi still couldn’t believe it. He didn’t do his best – at least according to his own standards – but still, he got into the Hero Course and would start his studies there next April… it was like a dream come true.

The dorm building came in sight when he heard a high pitched exclaim and a small body was collided into his legs.

”TOSHI! YOU DID IT!” Eri squeeled, beaming up at him, while hugging his legs tightly. Hitoshi sent a side look to Aizawa. He had no idea he had already sent a message about him passing to Mic.

”Yep, I did,” he said, ruffling Eri’s hair, ”but how do you know this, Eri?”

”Zashi and I were watching the training on the TV in the common area!” Eri informed him with her smile still on her lips.

Hitoshi felt shivers running down on his spine because of the aura he felt next to him. He side-looked and saw the deadly stare Aizawa sent to his nearing husband. When the man reached them, the raven haired man narrowed his eyes at him.

”What did I say about showing her something where her loved ones get hurt?” He asked and Shinsou shirked away from him on instinct.

”W-wait a bit, Shouta!” Hizashi started, raising his hands up in defense. ”She was the one who wanted to watch it.”

”And you would let her do everything her heart desires, huh?!” Aizawa asked and from the judgment in his voice Hizashi flinched. Hitoshi felt Eri letting go his leg and saw her walking up to her dad.

Because of being over the top furious at his husband, Shouta hadn’t felt the small tugs of his jeans at first. When he did however, he crouched down, so he could be on eye level with his daughter. Eri cupped his face between her hands and smiled at him.

”Don’t worry, daddy! There were no bad memories,” she reassured the man with a smile.

”I am happy to hear that,” Shouta replied and scooped her up, earning a giggle. He turned back to Hizashi, who only gave him a knowing smile when he saw the guilt in his eyes. Aizawa took a deep breath, then spoke up. ”So, have you got any ideas for the celebration?”

In the end, they ended up on the couch, watching some dumb show on the TV – but frankly, Hitoshi wasn’t interested in it at all. Instead of concentrating on it, he was watching the other three he was sharing the furniture with.

Eri was sitting in Mic’s lap, her eyes wide with wonder as she was watching the things being unfolded in front of her eyes – her hot chocolate long forgotten in her hands. Mic rested his chin on the top of her head and watched to TV with one of his eyes and Eri with the other.

On his other side, there was Aizawa already dozed off. Shinsou remembered that his teacher told him once that if something uninterested him, he could fall asleep. Considering that they started watching the show only five minutes ago, it had to be really uninteresting for him.

Shinsou could understand the feeling, tho, feeling his own eyes becoming heavier by the minute. Without even noticing it, his head landed on Aizawa’s shoulder and in the next moment, he was out like a light.

Mic gave them a side-look and smiled.

”Like father, like child.”
