The room was dark, the only light illuminating from the corner of the area was a lamp. Dazai sighed as he leaned his head against the window, watching as rain fell down the sides of it slowly.
Chuuya was sitting on their bed drinking some wine. "Hey," Dazai said and his soulmate looked up instinctively. He smiled. "Come over here."
Chuuya scoffed and rolled his eyes but smiled just a bit before placing his drink on the table next to their bed then getting up and walking over to his partner, his head tilted to the side teasingly. "What is it, Mackeral?"
Now, Dazai wasn't one for the emotional time, but, this time, he couldn't help but have his eyes tear up, making his soulmate's eyes widen, the redhead placing his hands on Dazai's cheeks. "Dazai," He began, smile fading. "What's wrong?" The brown haired teen shook his head, eyes fluttering closed as he gripped his soulmate's wrists, gently leaning a bit to kiss his palm. Chuuya's heart did back-flips.
"Nothing," He responded. "Nothing wrong. Everything's perfect. Just perfect."
"Your...not sad?" Chuuya asked, concern still lacing his voice. "You feel...." He trailed off, gaze looking away from him as he blushed. The other smiled.
"Tell me what you feel," Dazai whispered as he pulled one of Chuuya's hand on top of his forehead before moving his own away, instead, resting them on the other's hips. Chuuya smiled slightly, letting his palm gently fire up with his power, flowing between the two of them.
The redhead sighed dreamily and looked up at his soulmate, smile growing impossibly wide. "I just feel you."
Dazai grinned back before leaning down to kiss his partner, Chuuya sighing once more into their kiss. "I love you," He whispered. "I love you." Again, like mantra, making Dazai flush. "Never leave me." He continued. "Don't ever leave me."
"I won't." Dazai promised, kissing his nose as both of their eyes closed. "I won't leave you. Not now, not ever. I promise."

Chuuya walked into his room, not even bothering to turn on the light as he slammed the door shut behind him. He clenched his teeth together as he threw his hat on their-his bed. His bed. Only his. No longer anyone else's.
He sat down upon the mattress, letting himself sink into it a bit before his head fell into his hands. He clenched his fists.
Two years. It had been two years since Dazai left-
and Chuuya was still counting the seconds until he returned.
(even though he knew he wouldn't)
