Work Text:

Being adventurous had its flaws. Katsuki’d experienced that more than once, but never this bad. Since they moved away from the house near Izuku’s, his mother said that his behavior had become more and more unbearable. He started being extremely disrespectful, even towards his father which had never happened before.

To avoid any kind of interactions with his folks, Katsuki spent most of his time in the forest, exploring every secret part of it. He usually jumped from tree to tree to move forward – that is how he ended up on the ground with one of his legs broken.

He sniffled, clenching his jaw. He knew that crying was not an option. Future barbarians never fucking cried! However, try as he might, a few tears escaped his eyes.

”Fuck!” He muttered under his breath, rubbing his eyes furiously.

”Are you okay?” Katsuki heard a voice above his head. He looked up and his eyes widened. Beside him, stood a boy his age – with two small hors, a swishing tail and two red dragon wings on him. ”Wow, calm down, buddy!” The little boy said as Katsuki let out a screech, crawling backwards as much as his broken leg let him.

”W-what the fuck are you?!” Katsuki all, but screeched once again, shaking so hard he felt his teeth clang.

”I’m Eijirou, half dragon!” The other boy said with a bright smile and knelt down. ”Nice to meet ya!”

Katsuki blinked once, than twice. The kid in front of him was nothing short of those beasts his mother told him about at night. He leaned forward, examining the kid kneeling in front of him apprehensively.

”Katsuki,” he mumbled eventually. Eijirou’s smile widened, the disappeared as his gaze wondered to the blonde’s broken leg. ”I was careless,” Katsuki explained with a shrug.

”Lemme see it!” Eijirou asked and Katsuki didn’t complain. Eijirou frowned as he examined the damage, then reached his hands out towards the broken limb.

”What are you doing?” Katsuki asked, alarmed, leaning back once again.

”I want to heal your leg, bro. You, humans don’t have super healing power, right?” Eijirou intrigued and Katsuki shook his head. He felt his shoulders easing a bit, knowing the other boy wouldn’t try to devour him – at least for now. ”This’ll feel a bit strange, so be ready,” he warned Katsuki, who squeezed his eyes, but the pain never came.

Instead, he felt a kind of warmness spreading in his leg. It was a tickling feeling, so he had to give his all to hold back his giggles. When the strange feeling subsided, he tried to move his leg – to his outmost delight, it was as good as new. After his trying, he jumped up immediately, his redhead companion following the example. Katsuki bowed slightly, then took a deep breath.

”Thank you for the help,” he mumbled with a slight blush on his cheeks. It made the other giggle and Katsuki felt his eyebrow twitch.

”If you really want to thank me, we should play together sometimes!”
