Summary
Upon first glance, the park seems empty and devoid of any people whatsoever. Shouta walks through slowly, eyes open for anything out of place. It’s as he’s walking to the nearest bin that he sees movement out of the corner of his eye. There, laying on one of the benches deeper into the park, is a kid. A teenager, if the way they take up the whole bench is anything to go by. Shouta is a few feet away when the kid shifts, trying in vain to get their lanky form comfortable on the too-small bench, and the hood they have pulled over their head shifts, ever so slightly, revealing a shock of purple hair.
Or, Aizawa finds Shinsou sleeping in a park after getting locked out of his foster home. Aizawa takes issue with this.

Skizz was uncharacteristically quiet. He picked at the hole in his pants that had slowly been getting bigger and bigger over the past few years. Soon, his entire knee would be visible through the gap. Zedaph had been the one to put the hole there. He’d felt so guilty about it and Skizz had felt worse about his friend’s guilt than the hole in his only good pair of pants. Now Impulse caught him staring at that gaping wound in the fabric more and more often.Skizz looked up at him, his mouth set in a grim line and his eyes lit up in determination, “When do we leave?”

What keeps getting stuck in Cleo’s head is, But I’m meant to be human.
It probably isn’t the most pressing thing for her to think about, but it’s true. She’s meant to be human, and this shouldn’t have happened to her. She should be dead.
Don’t get her wrong, she doesn’t want to be dead. She just doesn’t want… this either. This shouldn’t be happening to her.
But happening it is, so Cleo adapts. She’s not brittle and she refuses to die this easily.
(Sometimes she thinks she might already be some kind of dead.)
