Work Text:
“Hey Chuuya…”
“Hm?”
It was around 2AM. Two tired teenagers were sitting on a single bed. Their mission from earlier that night had not gone all too well. All right – they got the job done, but it had been a tad bit messier than anyone (except Dazai probably) had intended.
Dazai, who had developed the bad habit of overstaying his welcome, had seen their almost failed mission as an excuse to get drunk in Chuuya’s room. The redhead could only agree. For the two fifteen year olds, any half-baked excuse was good enough to get wasted.
Two hours after that genius idea had popped up in their heads, they were sipping on a bottle of stolen vodka. As someone who had managed to drink rat poison on several occasions, Dazai did not seem to have a hard time with the even harder liquor. It was a bit different for his lightweight of a partner.
Already after the first sip, Chuuya had decided that this was not it. The bitter vodka burned his throat and he immediately felt nauseous when the liquid entered his stomach. He had waved away the bottle when Dazai had offered it to him again. Gross.
This did not stop his partner from drinking, though. The other fifteen year old took sip after sip until the bottle was almost empty. Dazai was drunk – and that ever so rarely a good thing for Chuuya.
Therefore, Chuuya should not have been surprised after what happened next.
But he was surprised – and uncomfortable.
The dark haired boy had slowly inched closer and closer. Until – until their bodies were actually touching. The fact that their thighs and shoulders were pressed together had sent Chuuya into a fight or flight state of mind. On the one hand, he was terrified. Mortified. Disgusted. He couldn’t move. His eyes stared blankly at the TV he had turned on for background noise.
Why was this gross, bandage-wasting freak show touching him?
Yet, on the other hand – something he was desperately trying to ignore – he was fascinated? Intrigued? Excited?
A shiver (of disgust? Or was it anticipation?) went up the Chuuya’s spine when the other managed to get a hold of a stray lock of his hair. Dazai twirled it around his finger lazily.
“Hey Chuuya.” He repeated.
“What–” Chuuya huffed in response, feeling hot, confused – but most of all – very annoyed.
It was silent for a while.
“Have you ever kissed someone?”
Chuuya pushed away the dark haired boy. He covered his mouth with a gloved hand, but it was no help. Dazai gleefully watched his partner turning a dark shade of red.
Chuuya couldn’t help but stammer.
“Wh- What? I-“
Dazai tried to meet his eyes, but the redhead would not let him. A small sigh left Dazai’s pouty lips.
“It was that girl, wasn’t it?” He asked, his voice sounding almost hurt. “One of your sheep – with the pink hair.”
“What? No! I never-“
Dazai would not let him finish.
“The boy then? It’s okay if you like boys, Chuuya. I won’t judge.”
“No! That’s gross!”
“Chuuya… You can’t say that – that’s offensive, you know?” Dazai stated smartly.
Chuuya was covering his eyes now – apparently thinking that Dazai would just go away if he did not see him. Dazai did not just go away.
After a few minutes of ignoring this comment, Chuuya felt like he could take his hands of his eyes again. His eyes were locked on the television when he spoke again.
“Fine.” He decided to be honest. “I kissed a girl. Yes.”
Dazai sat up a bit more straight – apparently very interested.
“Really?” He desperately tried to meet Chuuya’s eyes, but again with no success.
Chuuya’s cheeks were still a dark tint of red when he nodded.
“What about you?” He choked on the words, not exactly knowing why he was even interested in the answer. Dazai was gross. And stupid. Why would he care if he had kissed someone?
A deep sigh made Chuuya look up from the television.
Dazai was playing absentmindedly with the cap of the vodka bottle in his bandaged fingers. “No. I haven’t… No. Not really.”
“I see.” Chuuya eyed him curiously. His partner seemed already quite intoxicated with his glazed eyes and feverish pink cheeks. But he also looked kind of… cute?
Horrified by that train of thought, Chuuya furiously shook his head.
The movement caused Dazai to look up again.
And for the first time in what felt like forever, panicky blue eyes met vodka glazed brown. Chuuya could swear the shiver that went up his spine was of disgust this time.
Not excitement. Not at all.
“Chuuya.”
It was the vodka that made Chuuya nauseous now, not the butterflies banging against his ribcage. Absolutely not.
Dazai was on his hands and knees, slowly crawling towards the redhead. He had a mischievous smile on his face as he crawled closer. Chuuya, on the other hand, was slowly backing up until his back hit a wall.
Uh oh.
“Chuuya.” Dazai repeated, now close enough that their noses were almost touching. The redhead quickly looked away from the intense gaze that was trying to bore into his eyes. He could smell his vodka laced breath. It made him dizzy and breathless.
“Yes?” Chuuya’s answer was only a whisper.
Dazai giggled stupidly before also lowering his voice to a whisper. “You can teach me.”
“Wouldn’t that be weird?” Chuuya’s brain was clouded. His heart was thumping too fast. The butterflies were about to burst out of his ribcage. “Don’t you want your first kiss to be with someone you actually like?”
“Oh, come on! Be a good mentor and teach me.” A drunk giggle left the bandaged boy’s mouth again. “It won’t be weird.”
“I thought I was your dog.” Chuuya managed to splutter. “And now, all of the sudden, I’m your mentor–”
“Fine.” The teenager grinned. “Then be a good dog and kiss me.”
It took two heartbeats for Chuuya to decide.
“Okay.”
The two continued to stare at each other. Chuuya thought he noticed a glimpse of surprise in Dazai’s eyes when he had said the word. It had quickly turned into drunk anticipation.
It would just be a kiss, right? It meant nothing. Like that idiot Dazai had said, it was only to teach him.
That’s what partners do, right? They help each other out.
Chuuya took a shaky breath. He closed his eyes, leaned toward Dazai and carefully placed his lips on Dazai’s.
He tasted sweet. And a lot like vodka.
This combination immediately caused the redhead’s mind to go blank. Chuuya’s hands found the curls at the nape of Dazai’s neck, gripping them tightly before opening his lips.
When he felt Dazai’s lips curl into a smile against his own mouth, he pulled back, feeling highly offended.
“What?” He almost pouted. If it had it been a prank after all-
“No, nothing!” He watched a mesmerised Dazai trace his own lips with two of his fingers. His eyes were bright, his cheeks very red. He softly laughed again and a visible shiver seemed to travel through his body.
He looked very much alive.
“It just feels kind of strange. And wet.”
Chuuya opened his mouth to respond, but Dazai had already grabbed him by the collar.
“Wait. I want to–” Dazai had not been able to finish his own sentence, before pressing his lips on Chuuya’s once again.
The kiss got deeper now. It was sloppy – Dazai was pretty drunk, after all. Mouths opened, tongues twirled around each other hungrily, and teeth clashed against each other. For a first kiss, Chuuya decided, Dazai was a pretty damn good kisser.
Chuuya did not know how much time has passed. It could’ve been just a few minutes. It may also have been half an hour. He was drunk on the taste of Dazai’s lips, the feeling of his soft hair between his fingers and the way their bodies were pressing against each other.
When Dazai started sucking and nibbling softly on Chuuya’s bottom lip, the other could not help but let out a small moan. Both surprised by the sound, they pulled back quickly.
Somehow, without either of them noticing, they had ended up in a rather confronting position. Dazai was on top of Chuuya, cradling his hips with both his lanky legs.
Chuuya stared up at Dazai as Dazai looked down at him. Both teenagers were a mess. Hot breath passed their puffy and bruised lips, cheeks were a feverish red, and their hair in disarray.
Dazai blinked a few times, only now noticing that he had lost the bandages that usually covered one of his eyes. He looked down at his partner.
“Can I take off your shirt?” He asked the boy underneath him after half a minute of silence.
“Yes.” Chuuya breathed, not trusting his voice.
Dazai immediately leaned in again. Pressing his lips first to Chuuya’s mouth, he quickly moved down. He was kissing his jaw now, lapping at the soft skin.
He was fumbling with the buttons of Chuuya’s shirt. He had only managed to undo one button when Chuuya giggled and stopped to help him. He pushed Dazai’s face away before sitting up. He quickly undid enough buttons to pull the shirt over his head, feeling a bit shy as he exposed his chest.
Dazai did not seem shy at all as he hungrily pushed the other down again. Dazai’s hands were caressing his sides, fingers softly tracing the shape of his ribs. And for the hundredth time that evening, a shiver went up Chuuya’s spine.
Dark bruises were forming on the places where Dazai’s lips met Chuuya’s neck. The redhead went along with it all, moaning softly when it felt good, but giggling and squirming when the other hit a ticklish spot.
Soon Chuuya’s neck, chest and stomach were covered in purple hickeys.
Dazai sat up again – deciding to admire his work from a distance.
The most stupid grin was spread across his face.
“You look so pretty.”
He said to his bruise covered partner.
“Shut up.”
Chuuya muttered before pulling the other down into another kiss.
---
Sunlight was already illuminating the room when Dazai finally woke up.
First mistake of that day.
Waking up had not been a good idea.
His head was aching horribly and nausea threatened to overtake him. God, he felt like he was going to puke right here, right now. The single bed was way too hot, so he did the most logical thing: He pushed the sleeping Chuuya right off it.
“Hey!” Chuuya yelled angrily as he hit the cold floor.
Dazai slid down right next to him, pressing his cheek on the cool surface of the cool concrete. He closed his eyes.
“Uhg.” The taller of the two groaned. “Don’t be so loud, Chuuya. My head is about to explode.”
“Serves you right.” Chuuya muttered angrily. A look of disgust was spread across his face as he gestured down at his black and blue torso.
“Look what you did to me! I look like a… A whore!”
Although miserable and nauseous, Dazai could not help but grin at his partner.
“Chuuya… you can’t say that. That’s offensive.”
